Location is amazing, not very many places you can walk out of your room and not only see the beach but touch the sand right out side your door. Rooms are not the classiest but they do provide a small kitchen and large fridge to cook and store food for your stay. The bar is fun and the food is great finger food for the family. Atmosphere is great when there’s a live band. Overall for the price there’s no place like this in Rocky point.
I love staying at non-touristy places and being accepted as a "local". To me, this place is "old Mexico". The bar is great with wonderful established clientele that are expats.... If you want "bougie" you better go book lodging around Playa Bonita in the condos... If you want a taste of the "old Puerto Peñasco" than you found a place! It's not bougie, but it's clean and towels are provided.... I always stay in the rooms with the kitchenette. FYI, you need to bring your own paper plates, cups and plastic flatware, cookware and utinsels to use on gas stove. There is a full sized refrigerator and freezer. If you are a coffee drinker you must bring your own coffee maker and set up, or you can go eat at one of several breakfast eateries near by. I like brewing my own coffee and stepping outside the back door and stick my toes into the sand and zen-out! ... Also, there is a front desk person who understands and speaks some English.
I love this place and definitely plan to go back. Rooms are very dated but are clean and the beds are comfortable. The price is right at $75 per night for kitchenette room. The rooms are immediately on the beach with Sand at the front door. There is a little attached bar and restaurant about 50 feet away. Making reservations is a challenging process.
This place is amazing. Inexpensive and on the beach 2 doors- one opens to the parking lot and the other opens to your private picnic table on the beach. Rooms are huge. The music next door is super loud, so dont plan on sleeping early. The door leading to the beach in our room was broken, and so was the window, but still worth the price and location! I will definitely stay here again.
I love the little bar on the beach. Granted there are only two tap beer choices but it is nice and cold. Antonio the bartender keeps all the drinks full. Everyone is friendly and have a good time. I have been going there for years and will certainly be returning.
